HAVE A PLAN This winter why not plan for the spring? IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN Did you know that each vegetable has a special season for growing? Things like lettuce, radishes, and broccoli do better in cooler weather? Solanaceous plants (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and peppers) will only do well in the summer months, so having a plant for your garden is important to get the highest yield. The garden should be done in 3 phases; early spring, summer, and fall. FYI - we do not get a shipment of fall vegetables so if you do plan ahead make sure to get seeds for the fall. Enjoy the 3 season vegetable garden!
HOUSE PLANTS Because it is cool outside and warm inside the house plants typically get a variety of insects this time of year. Look for insects on the underside of leaves, flying around the plant, and crawling along the soil

HOUSE PLANTS When watering your house plants, make sure to water when they need it. Check the soil each time you water. Plants should be allowed to dry out before watering. When the time comes, water until water comes out the bottom of the pot. Let dry and repeat. WARNING: There is a black mold that looks like it is wet. If this looks to be the case, lift the pot and see if it is light.
Fertilize your plants roughly once every two weeks. If there is discoloration you may need to give it an extra boost Feel free to remove all yellow leaves and dead stems Put a tray below all planters to catch excess water Make sure the plants are rotated and get a little sunlight everyday.
